The Psychology of Joanna de Ângelis and the Pains of the Soul
The speakers will discuss Joanna de Ângelis' psychological and spiritual approach to the soul and its evolution, focusing especially on its pains. According to this author, and many religions around the world, human beings have divine origin. She states that “the direction of intelligent life is ascensional, achieved by means of existential challenges that need to be overcome”. We propose to reflect together on the pains in our souls that are part of this effort to face these challenges and how to overcome them considering the spiritual and psychological values involved.

Group Experience I - Illuminating the night of our spiritual journey: every pain a star.
This group dynamic aims to help us identify the inner pains that unite us, as they are shared by all of us on this evolutionary journey. In this way, and through Joanna de Ângelis’ teachings, we can also share the light that comes from the transformation of these pains in ways to understand “the meaning of life, without the limitations set by the previously dominating ego.”

Activity 4
Interactive Conference: “Facing Grief, Loss and Fear: a path to psychological and spiritual maturity”
Grief hurts. Loss destabilizes us. Fear can feel paralyzing. But what if these experiences are not signs of weakness — and instead, invitations to grow? Anne Sinclair and Marcia Trajano will explore how facing grief consciously can transform us from the inside out.
They will discuss how loss reshapes identity and strengthens emotional resilience. They will also look at how the brain processes pain — and how meaning and connection support healing. Finally, they will reflect on how suffering can become a sacred path toward the maturity of the soul. Grief is not the end of the story — It may be the beginning of deeper awareness, compassion, and faith.

Interactive Conference: “Joanna, Jung, and Ian McGilchrist: exploring the mysteries of consciousness, our brain, and the origin of mental disorders”
What is consciousness? Are we even capable of exploring this mystery that we share through the workings of our brains? Which are the origins of mental disorders? Chemical and physiological imbalances that need medication only? Or do we have other resources to achieve mental health? What is the role of spirituality and psychological values in the quest for these answers? We will reflect upon these questions based on the teachings of Joanna, Jung and Ian McGilchrist who bring to modern science and philosophy profound and challenging new insights.
